Country Life Meadows was the first farming game on Facebook that lets you process vegetables, fruits, trees, and animal products using realistic machinery and equipment. Creating this immersive experience required careful research, design, and programming — and we continue working to capture the authentic feel of running a real farm.
We aim for realism in every detail. You won’t find pink sheep, blue rabbits, or trees that grow heart-shaped chocolates here. Crops are designed with botanical accuracy (for example, Asparagus follows real multi-stage growth, pruning, and regeneration cycles). Our Gear draws inspiration from traditional farm machinery, and you can even expand into a Factories Area where you manage production more efficiently, including remote control of your entire gear fleet.
Your helper Joe starts with basic tools that you can upgrade over time, making clearing land, chopping wood, mining, and other tasks faster and more efficient. Beyond your main farm, you can explore Bellflower Meadow (which features a mine), the Mediterranean landscapes of Cypress Grove, and the tropical jungles of Emerald Beach, each with their own unique crops and challenges.
You can also raise a variety of animals — from chickens and cows to goats and more — caring for them and collecting their produce. In addition, you can add pets such as cats and a dog that roam and add life to your farm.
Because Country Life Meadows is a family-friendly game enjoyed by grandparents and grandchildren alike, it can also serve as a gentle, educational introduction for younger players. It shows how food is actually produced — things don’t just appear on supermarket shelves, after all. 🙂
There’s no pressure to do everything. If you simply enjoy planting, harvesting, and using Gear at your own pace, that’s a perfectly valid way to play. Beyond that, you can forage for wild plants, explore different regions, cook recipes in the Farm Kitchen, create items in the Craft Shack, or take part in Competitions, Achievements, and Horse Racing.
There’s always something to do on the farm, whether you prefer a relaxing daily routine or a deeper, more strategic farming life. The game has been refined since 2009 with more than 100 community-influenced updates, and we continue listening to player feedback to improve it.
